Jewett L. Walker, Jr. holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University Long Beach in Speech Communications, a Masters Degree in Divinity and a Doctorate of Ministry Degree from Ministerial Training Institute and has received additional training in the areas of political campaign management (from the Washington DC based Campaigns and Elections magazine) and fundraising (from the Fundraising Institute). He is Immediate Past President and Chairman of the Board of the 100 Black Men of Los Angeles, Inc.; Pastor of New Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles, CA.; a former Board Chairman of the Southeast District of the American Red Cross; a member of the American Association of Political Consultants, a Life Member of both New Frontier Democratic Club and the Culver City  Democratic Club; Life Member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and active in a host of other community based groups and organizations.
